Doug joins Semper9 as a former client-turned agent, bringing with him a lifetime of experience in professional baseball. He began his collegiate career as a pitcher at Central Arizona College and the University of Missouri.  Doug was drafted three different times throughout his amateur career, culminating with him signing with the Texas Rangers in 2005. He made his Major League debut in 2008, and his playing career spanned 11 years, including time in the MLB, multiple AAA teams, and international leagues in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.

After retiring as a player, Doug transitioned into the role of an MLBPA Certified Agent, working alongside Danny, who had been his agent throughout his playing career. He spent a year in this role before returning to the field as a pitching coach, both at the Minor League & Major League level. Doug’s coaching career included stints with the Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He served as the Texas Rangers' Big League pitching coach during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Doug's diverse background, spanning playing & coaching experience at the Major League level, along with prior agent experience, makes him an invaluable asset to Semper9. His unique perspective allows him to bridge the gap between players, teams, and management in a way that few others can.
